This traditional lawn edger has a sharp, hand-forged stainless steel blade which cuts through turf quickly and with ease. My crew uses this tool frequently, and I have had my original Sneeboer tool for over 12 years. We always use it instead of a spade because it is designed to be more efficient for the job.
The wide, solid-ash handle is nicely shaped and easy to grip, comfortable to lift and push into the turf. The straight half-moon-shaped blade cuts straighter, smoother lines than a spade, and with less effort. The steps on the top of the blade make it easier and more comfortable to push the blade into the turf with your foot.
Gardener’s Kit Tip: Edging the garden beds and paved pathways is a quick and easy way to make a garden look tidy, crisp and well-defined. Even if you don’t have time for a detailed once-over of the garden, you can quickly improve the overall picture by edging. We hand-edge a couple of times a year in our clients' gardens, the rest of the time we use a strimmer.
The Sneeboer family has been making garden tools for over 100 years. Sneeboer tools are beautifully designed and built for maximum strength and utility - the heads are hand-forged from one piece of stainless steel and they are fitted with ash handles from FSC-certified forests. Each tool is individually shaped, assembled, sharpened, and polished by skilled master craftsmen in their factory in The Netherlands. They are designed and constructed to last a lifetime.
