Meet the newest member of the Niwaki GR Pro family! This model differs from the standard GR Pro Secateurs primarily in shape - the handles have a more pronounced shoulder and the blade is angled down away from the hand.
Same great design and construction, with the clever locking mechanism at the bottom of the handles, but they are a bit heavier and for a slightly larger hand than the standard GR Pro Secateurs.
The angle of the blade on this model is similar to the Okatsune and Tobisho SR-1 secateurs; they are comparable in length to both.
Blade to handle, they are made from one piece of steel, which means you never have to replace the blades, just clean and sharpen regularly to keep them in good shape.
Niwaki sharpening stones recommended for this model. The steel sharpens easily but they are not suitable for heavy hacking, and definitely not for cutting wire or opening paint cans.
