This is a sweet little trowel, similar in intent to the Old Dutch trowels but with a significantly smaller (and lighter) head.
The pointed tip and sharp sides allow you to easily cut through soil and roots. Use it for planting bulbs, seedlings and small plants. It would be super useful in a small veggie garden, or for container gardening.
Fun fact: this is one of the hand tools used to plant millions of bulbs by the gardeners at Keukenhof Botanic Garden in The Netherlands, famous for its incredible and opulent annual displays of Dutch-grown spring-flowering bulbs. They plant 7 million bulbs in the display gardens every year!
