Date: Saturday, December 6
Not your average wreath workshop, this one offers a uniquely varied selection of plant materials to use in the creation of your seasonal wreath: beautiful dried flowers and grasses, ornamental seed heads, berried branches, freshly-harvested evergreen boughs and foliage.
Join Mayan Vered, horticulturist and flower farmer at Flowerface Farm, as she shares her expert techniques to create a gorgeous floral holiday wreath using locally-grown, sustainably-harvested plant materials from Mayan's farm. Flowers from Mayan's fields are naturally dried each season to add extra sparkle and whimsy to each creation.
- Morning Workshop: 10:30-12:30
- Afternoon Workshop: 1:30-3:30
Workshops will be limited to a maximum of 10 people for each session, so please reserve your spot in advance to avoid disappointment.
All the materials needed to create your wreath are provided: plant materials, wire wreath frame, and twine.
Bring your own gloves, and snips and secateurs if you have them. We will have snips on hand if you don't have a pair.
We will be assembling wreaths inside our showroom but please dress for the weather as the plant materials will be outside and you'll be back and forth throughout.

About Mayan and Flowerface Farm
Mayan runs Flowerface, a 1-acre cut flower farm on the Sa’anich peninsula, growing a wide variety of specialty cut flowers, foliage, grasses and perennials. Flowerface provides stunning blooms for weddings, events and wholesale markets and conducts workshops throughout the year. In the winter, they offer seasonal wreaths and dried bouquets.
Mayan has been growing cut flowers for 9 years, first in Vancouver and now here on the Island. Wreath-making has always been a big part of Flowerface and Mayan has led workshops for the past 5 years.
