Ladder Safety 2024

before using, ensure:
  • the chain is securely in place and taught
  • the spring-loaded safety pin is securely locked in place
  • you inspect the ladder for any damage
  • do not step or stand above safe standing height ("SSH")
    • 6' & 8', 2 steps from the top
    • 10', 12' &16', 3 steps from the top
  • always place ladder on firm, non-slip, stable ground where the feet can remain steady
when transporting, ensure:
  • secure the back leg in its retaining bracket
  • you do not hand-carry by holding the back leg
  • do not use ratchet straps directly on the aluminum.
