Finding the right border spade can be a challenge for professional gardeners - it's a tool we use constantly so it's important to find the right size, weight and proportion for our bodies. Using a tool properly fitted to your body makes it easier to work comfortably and without undue fatigue.
The Sneeboer border spade has a smaller, shorter blade than many of the spades I've tried over the years. This, combined with the unobtrusive t-grip, makes it less cumbersome to use in a crowded border.
The standard and tall sizes are almost identical: the grip and length of the blade are exactly the same; the difference is in the length of the handle. Taller folks will definitely appreciate the extra length!
