I'm always on the hunt for good brooms and rarely do I find anything that stands up to the regular use that my gardening crew dishes out. This outdoor broom from Redecker has soft, Arenga fibre bristles making it perfect in the shop or on patios. The handle is held firmly by a top-mounted attachment point on the broom rather than a single threaded point, which can take more pushing force and is less likely to break. SHIPS UNASSEMBLED

About Bürstenhaus Redecker

Bürstenhaus Redecker has been making brushes by hand in Germany since 1935. Founder Friedrich Redecker learned the brushmaker’s trade after losing his sight as a child, eventually building his own small business serving local farmers and households. Three generations later, the family business is still going strong.

Today, Redecker combines traditional brushmaking with thoughtful design and an almost obsessive attention to materials. Natural woods, plant fibres, bristles and hair are chosen for their particular qualities, with synthetic materials used only where they genuinely make sense. The result is a wonderfully simple idea: make practical things beautifully, using good materials and proper craftsmanship.
