This is a super shovel: lightweight, strong, sharp. And it's gold! The short shaft, d-handle & light weight makes it especially nice for shoveling and spreading soil and mulch.
We also use it for light digging and planting projects; it gets used a lot during bulb-planting season. The pointed tip breaks through compacted ground easily and the handle is short enough that it can be used from a kneeling position.
Available in two sizes; the small size is really handy in tight spaces. I also like it for mixing soil/potting blends in the wheelbarrow.
What the heck is the difference between a shovel and a spade, you ask?
Generally, spades have flat, rectangular heads and are designed for digging in beds and borders. The blade is sharp and often has a footplate or step to aid you in pushing the blade down into the soil. They’re usually used for planting, transplanting and edging.
Meanwhile, shovels are primarily used for scooping, moving and spreading garden materials; they have a curved head that will hold more volume, and often have a pointed tip so can also be used for digging jobs.

Purchasing Ladders
Ladders can be ordered on our website for pick-up from our Victoria Showroom. Due to the high cost of shipping such large items and the risk of damage during shipping, we do not offer a shipping option.
Ladders can also be purchased in person from one of our dealers in the Vancouver or Vancouver Island areas. Check out our "where to buy" page for dealers.
